Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of digital literacy and application features on the sustainability of digital payment usage, as well as to analyze the moderating role of perceived ease of use in this relationship. The study employs a quantitative approach utilizing Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4 software. The respondents of the study consist of 155 Generation Z individuals from the Special Region of Yogyakarta, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The findings indicate that digital literacy, application features, and perceived ease of use have a positive and significant effect on the sustainability of digital payment usage. This study identifies that perceived ease of use is the strongest predictor in promoting sustainability of usage. However, the moderation test reveals that perceived ease of use is not significant in moderating the relationship between digital literacy and application features concerning sustainability of usage. This underscores that for Generation Z individuals with high digital literacy, ease of use acts as a direct determinant on its own rather than as a reinforcing factor in the relationship with other variables
